There are limits. Some functions, including handwriting and parts of the media-focused feature set, are not supported on Android Go devices. The number of options can also make the keyboard feel busier than a deliberately minimal alternative. Worth installing for most Android users. It is especially useful for multilingual typing and hands-free input. Those who already like their current keyboard and want a stripped-back experience have less reason to change, but Gboard earns its place as a general-purpose keyboard from Google LLC.
